Job summary

RTEC Treecare is seeking a highly organized Business Operations Manager to connect sales, scheduling, production, plant health care, and office teams, driving operational excellence across our Virginia/DC area. You’ll build workflows, standardize processes, and lead a team to ensure smooth end-to-end work flow from sale to completion.

Ideal candidates bring 3-5+ years in operations or business administration, with experience leading field-based teams and proficiency in CRM/Scheduling software

Qualifications

• 3-5+ years of experience in operations, office management, project management, or business administration.
• Experience leading teams in green-industry, trades, landscaping, or other field-based business preferred.
• Strong organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with CRM, scheduling, or field service software (SingleOps experience is a plus).
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Build and improve workflows that increase efficiency across departments.
• Standardize processes and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Partner with sales, scheduling, production, and office teams to keep work moving efficiently.
• Supervise Customer Service Representatives and office staff.
• Ensure accurate client communication, invoicing, documentation, and administrative processes.
• Monitor operational KPIs, dashboards, and scorecards to support leadership decision-making.
• Identify operational bottlenecks and implement practical solutions.
• Coordinate cross-functional projects, new systems, and company initiatives.
• Support leadership in executing company priorities and improving accountability.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement, teamwork, and exceptional customer service.
