Job summary

GXO Logistics seeks a qualified professional in Houston, TX to lead warehouse operations with emphasis on quality and safety. The role requires skills in logistics management, Lean Six Sigma, and staff development to meet customer commitments.

You will guide supervisors, implement improvement programs, oversee maintenance coordination, and ensure OSHA-compliant practices across all departments. Strong problem-solving and data analysis are essential for success.

Qualifications

  • 4 years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and scanner equipment.
  • Overtime flexibility, including weekends.
  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics or related field (preferred).
  • 4 years managerial/supervisory experience (preferred).
  • Experience in AS9100 or ISO environments (preferred).
  • Lean, Six Sigma and Continuous Process Improvement knowledge (preferred).
  • Experience in warehousing or 3PL (preferred).
  • Ability to maintain a safe work environment by enforcing safety procedures across all departments.
  • Strong problem-solving techniques and statistical analysis skills.

Job description

  • Ensure records are maintained appropriately and reports are completed in a timely manner
  • Adhere to and enforce all safe work practices, ensuring the warehouse is compliant with OSHA and other pertinent standards/regulations
Requirements
  • 4 years of relevant work experience
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) and computerized scanner equipment
  • Availability to work a flexible schedule as needed, including planned and unplanned overtime, which may include weekends
  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics or a related field (preferred)
  • 4 years of managerial/supervisory experience (preferred)
  • Experience in an AS9100 or ISO environment (preferred)
  • Lean, Six Sigma and Continuous Process Improvement knowledge and experience (preferred)
  • Experience in warehousing or Third-Party Logistics (3PL) (preferred)
  • Ability to maintain a safe work environment by monitoring and enforcing safety procedures across all departments
  • Strong problem-solving techniques and statistical analysis skills
