Job summary

GXO Logistics is seeking a seasoned operations supervisor to lead warehouse teams in Pryor Creek, OK. The role focuses on maintaining quality objectives, staff development, and operational improvements while ensuring safety standards and OSHA compliance.

Qualifications

  • 4 years of relevant work experience
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and computerized scanner equipment
  • Availability to work a flexible schedule including overtime, weekends
  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics or a related field (if available)
  • 4 years of managerial/supervisory experience (if available)
  • Experience in an AS9100 or ISO environment (if available)
  • Lean, Six Sigma and Continuous Process Improvement knowledge and experience (if available)
  • Experience in warehousing or Third-Party Logistics (3PL) (if available)

Job description

  • Communicate with customers, vendors and team members to ensure customer commitments are met
  • Demonstrate an understanding of GXO's quality policies; establish procedures for maintaining quality objectives
  • Provide guidance to supervisors with respect to personnel, quality and safety
  • Hire, train, develop and appraise staff effectively
  • Make recommendations on programs to improve operations
  • Handle equipment and coordinate all maintenance needs with the maintenance team
  • Ensure records are maintained appropriately and reports are completed in a timely manner
  • Adhere to and enforce all safe work practices, ensuring the warehouse is compliant with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and other pertinent standards/regulations

  • Availability to work a flexible schedule as needed, including planned and unplanned overtime, which may include weekends
