Job summary

Vaco is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead Final Mile/Home Delivery operations for a major national retailer. You will manage a delivery site, oversee a diverse team, and build strong relationships with customers and independent contractors.

You will drive performance, implement process improvements, and maintain high service standards in a fast-paced logistics environment, with a focus on safety, efficiency, and accountability.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of operations leadership experience in logistics or related field.
• Experience managing employees in distribution, transportation, or warehouse operations.
• Experience working with Independent Contractors.
• Strong customer relationship and account management skills.
• Proven ability to lead teams in fast-paced environments.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining service and operational standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day operations of a Final Mile delivery location.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with onsite customers and Independent Contractors.
• Supervise and develop a team across Quality Control, Customer Service, and Operations.
• Ensure strong delivery performance, customer satisfaction, and operational excellence.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Coach, mentor, and develop team members.

• Partner directly with customers to resolve operational and service-related issues.
• Maintain a safe, efficient, and productive work environment.
• Participate in budgeting and overall operational financial performance.
• Identify process improvements that increase efficiency, service levels, and productivity.

Salary: $70,000-$80,000 Base + 10% Annual Bonus

Additional Compensation: $100 Monthly Cell Phone Allowance

Lead High-Impact Final Mile Operations

Our client, a national third-party logistics (3PL) provider, is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee Final Mile / Home Delivery operations supporting one of the country's largest retail customers.

This is an excellent opportunity for a proven logistics leader who enjoys managing teams, building strong customer relationships, and driving operational performance in a fast-paced delivery environment.

If you have experience leading last-mile delivery operations, transportation terminals, distribution centers, home delivery networks, or 3PL operations, we'd like to speak with you.

What You'll Do

• Experience working with or managing Independent Contractors

• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining strong service and operational standards
