Job summary

Tesla Laboratories, Inc. is hiring a Facility Manager to support DoD and related government customers. The role emphasizes reviewing service requests, developing schedules, and managing complex facility projects with a focus on cost, risk, and performance.

The candidate will coordinate VIP events for DoD senior leaders, require MS Project proficiency, and maintain documentation across multiple programs while ensuring security clearance readiness.

Qualifications

  • At least 1 year experience as DoD Facility Manager or Level II DAU Facility Engineer.
  • Proficient in MS Project and developing program schedules for facility projects.
  • PMT 0160 certification or 1 year facility project cost estimates experience.
  • At least 1 year planning and managing VIP DoD events with MC duties.
  • Proficient in MS Office (SharePoint, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) for tracking multiple projects.
  • Knowledge of DoD Purchase Card procedures and Market Research using GSA eTools.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain security clearance.
  • 36+ months of program/managerial experience related to facilities planning/maintenance.
  • Experience coordinating surveys, inspections, scoping, estimating, and management of facilities projects.
  • Experience entering work orders into SANG 127th iEMS.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and lead complex facilities sustainment, repair and maintenance projects.
  • Interact with internal/external stakeholders to resolve issues and maintain schedules.
  • Prepare scopes of work for repair or capital projects and monitor progress.
  • Track budgets, risks, milestones, and project status using management tools.
  • Ensure compliance with DoD protocols and purchasing procedures for facilities work.

Job Description
  • At least 1 year experience serving as a Facility Manager for a DoD organization or certified as a Level II DAU level II Facility Engineer. At a minimum, the experience shall include reviewing customer requests for emergency/urgent/routine service and project work, induct into tracking database, and capturing all pertinent data and using information from the customer and management tools to determine the importance of the service work or project relative to financial and mission factors while also using information from the customer and management tools to determine the importance of the service work or projects relative to financial and mission factors.   • Proficient in MS Project with experience in developing program schedules for Facility Related Projects
  • Complete PMT 0160 or at least 1 year of experience developing facility project cost estimates.
  • At least 1 years of experience in planning and managing VIP events for DoD and Military senior leaders., and experience shall include at a minimum serving as master of ceremonies, developing and staffing Letter of Instructions in support of events, coordinating the execution of at least 5 VIP events for DoD senior leaders. Experience shall include reviewing and verifying required protocols are performed.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including SharePoint, Word, Excel, Outlook, and Power Point and proficiency using these applications to simultaneously track and report the progress of at least ten projects
  • Knowledgeable of DoD Government Purchase Card Operation procedures and associated policies and proficient in performing Market Research using GSA eTools
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain security clearance
  • Must have at least 36 months experience, education or training in program or managerial experience in a type of work or a combination of functions directly related to the position to be filled or in comparable work or functions.
  • Resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at performing duties such as: 1) coordinating and/or leading a wide variety of complex and/or major work requirements associated with surveying, inspecting, programming, scoping, estimating, designing, monitoring, reviewing, and managing facilities sustainment, repair and maintenance, construction projects, and service contracts 2)interacting, via meetings or virtual meetings, with internal and external stakeholders to resolve issues of facilities job status, priorities, milestones, tracking procedures and schedules to eliminate conflicts and facilitate timely project completion; 3) applies knowledge/experience in facilities planning, programming and funding, such as maintenance execution, maintenance action, and long range maintenance plans (to assess and advise supported clients on feasibility of their requirements
  • Broad, comprehensive knowledge of duties concerned with concepts, supervision, and management of facility administration in the planning, design, and construction of major structures and facilities with expertise in space utilization, building environmental systems, fire and security systems, masonry and reinforced concrete construction, roofing systems, energy management, and pavement construction and ability to determine deficiencies and prepare scopes of work for repair.
  • Experience entering work orders into SANG 127th iEMS Work Order System.
