Job summary

Crane Worldwide Logistics is seeking an experienced Warehouse Supervisor in La Grange, Illinois. The role involves recruiting, training, and managing warehouse staff while ensuring efficient operations and cost control. Candidates should have a High School Diploma and extensive warehouse experience, alongside strong skills in leadership, organization, and problem-solving. Responsibilities

• Participate in the recruitment of hourly employees for the warehouse.
• Ensure planning, direction, scheduling, and assignment of jobs for warehouse staff.
• Manage department performance through coaching, mentoring, and motivation of warehouse staff.
• Coordinate work activities of warehouse operations with other departments.
• Oversee cost control measures to strengthen gross profit and contribution.
• Maintain operational reliability of warehouse equipment through a third-party vendor.

Education

High School Diploma/GED

5+ years of warehouse work experience

3+ years of supervisory or management experience

Job description

Physical Requirements

• Standing/Walking 75% of the time
• Stand or sit for long periods of time
• Reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch and frequently required to climb or balance
• Regularly lift and/or move 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move 50 pounds by hand

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma/GED is required.
• 5 or more years of experience with warehouse work.
• 3 or more years of supervisory or management experience

Certifications and Licenses

• Professional certification may be required in some areas.
