Job summary

Crane Worldwide Logistics is seeking a skilled warehouse supervisor to oversee hourly staff and ensure efficient operations at our Atlanta facility.

You will recruit, coach, and coordinate with other departments, manage cost controls, and safeguard assets, with a focus on reliability and safety.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Five or more years of warehouse experience.
• Three or more years of supervisory or management experience.
• Professional certification may be required in some areas.

Responsibilities

• Participates in recruitment of hourly warehouse staff.
• Ensures planning, direction, scheduling, and assignment of jobs for warehouse staff.
• Coaches, mentors and motivates warehouse staff to achieve performance goals.
• Coordinates work activities with other departments to improve efficiency and cohesion.
• Oversees cost control measures to strengthen gross profit and contribution.
• Maintains operational reliability of warehouse equipment via a third-party vendor and safeguards assets.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Participates in the recruitment of hourly employees for the warehouse.
• Ensures planning, direction, scheduling, and assignment of jobs for warehouse staff.
• Manages department performance through coaching, mentoring and motivation of warehouse staff.
• Coordinates work activities of warehouse operations with other departments to ensure better efficiency and cohesion.
• Oversees cost control measures to strengthen gross profit and contribution.
• Maintains operational reliability of warehouse equipment through a third‑party vendor and safeguards company assets.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements

• Standing/Walking 75% of the time.
• Stand or sit for long periods of time.
• Reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch; frequently required to climb or balance.
• Regularly lift and/or move 50 pounds; occasionally lift and/or move 50 pounds by hand.
• Job may require presence on‑site at the assigned work location.

Skills & Abilities

• Ability to analyze and resolve complex warehouse operational issues.
• Ability to be a team‑player and work effectively with senior‑level staff.
• Ability to manage and lead staff to excellent performance.
• Proficient at MS Office.
• Attention to detail and highly organized.
• Ability to handle warehouse accounting and bookkeeping.
• Working knowledge of electronic inventory control system.
• Working knowledge of safety and security procedures.

Education and Experience
