Operations Manager

Location: Houston, Texas. Lead operations of Commercial Door Systems and ensure high customer satisfaction on construction projects.

Position Overview

• Lead and oversee commercial operations and personnel to be efficient, effective, safe, and profitable.
• Manage and improve operational processes and procedures with the objective of maximizing profit and return, emphasizing customer satisfaction and repeat business.
• Ensure sold jobs are timely scheduled and performed skillfully to achieve divisional budgeted sales and gross profit objectives.
• Collaborate to align operating budgets and sales goals, keeping them on track monthly.
• Deliver profit dollars and the return on sales that meet or exceed the yearly financial budget/forecast.
• Establish objectives and action plans that are consistent with corporate goals.
• Hire, train, and develop new employees; improve performance through daily coaching, scorecard reviews, and performance evaluations.
• Effectively lead meetings, set performance expectations, and hold employees accountable.
• Communicate directly with customers to solicit feedback, solve problems, and identify new sales opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; minimum of 2 years in a Department Manager, Operations Manager, or Project Manager role in the service‑provider industry with familiarity with construction project management and installation of building materials.
• Ability to apply technical knowledge to mechanical/electrical systems and problem‑solving.
• Experience conducting meetings with exempt and non‑exempt personnel, hiring, training, developing, and conducting annual performance reviews.
