Job summary

Foundation Building Materials (FBM) is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead daily branch operations with a focus on safety, service, and results. You will drive efficiency, manage teams, and align with company goals across warehousing, transportation, and customer service.

The role requires hands-on leadership in a fast-paced environment, a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 2+ years of management experience.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in the building materials industry is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate overall operations for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
• Plan, develop, and implement policies across warehousing, transportation, and customer service.
• Design and manage dispatch systems to improve logistics and workflow.
• Lead operational changes and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Manage operating budgets for warehouse, manufacturing, and transportation functions.
• Ensure trucking operations comply with DOT regulations.
• Oversee warehouse conditions, equipment, and storage utilization.
• Coordinate with purchasing and receiving for timely product arrivals.
• Maintain vendor communications for missing materials and backorders.
• Research and implement technologies to boost efficiency.
• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
