Job summary

Target offers an Operations Intern program in its Supply Chain Facility. This paid 40 hr/week internship develops leadership capabilities, with hands-on experience under mentors to lead a department and manage daily operations.

You will learn to drive productivity, ensure safety, and grow into a Target leadership role. You will gain exposure to daily management, team mentoring, and cross-functional collaboration, with a focus on developing people and process improvements in a fast-paced retail

Qualifications

• Participation in school or extracurricular activities and experience in leadership roles.
• Strong interest in working in retail, specifically within our supply chain facilities.
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
• Problem-solving skills and strong initiative.
• Team-oriented thinking with enthusiasm for continuous learning.
• Flexible work schedule (nights, weekends, holidays) and regular attendance are necessary

Responsibilities

• Lead and motivate team members on the facilities floor to align with daily priorities.
• Maintain quality and inventory accuracy through standard processes and audits.
• Track KPIs such as safety, teamwork, quality and productivity to identify gaps and drive actions.
• Lead daily planning meetings with peers and leadership teams; plan shift goals and summarize results.
• Conduct safety walks and coaching to ensure compliant, safe and productive operations.
• Collaborate with IT and operations to address system issues and drive continuous improvement.
