Job summary

Peterson Farms, Inc. in DeLand, FL is seeking an Operations Manager Designate to support day-to-day production operations and prepare to assume full management responsibilities.

You will oversee safety, quality, engineering, manufacturing, and maintenance while guiding supervisors and staff toward production goals. You will partner with the Quality team to uphold HACCP compliance, address GMP rules, and ensure proper training, equipment use, and timely execution of production plans.

Qualifications

• Two years supervising/leading others preferred.
• Experience in food processing environment preferred.
• One year manufacturing experience desirable.

Responsibilities

• Check tasks with supervisors and QA to ensure accuracy.
• Address GMP, safety, and security rules within the plant.
• Ensure production goals are met and employees are trained on equipment.
• Monitor equipment and personnel within the plant.
• Ensure production supplies are on hand and used correctly.
• Verify daily production sheets and safety documentation.
• Coordinate with sales to verify load timings.
• Communicate with other plants for raw materials and equipment.
