Lever, Inc. is seeking an Operations Manager to oversee HVAC installation and service departments. You will manage day-to-day operations, inventory control, and leadership across crews to ensure on-time, on-budget, high-quality work.

Collaboration with leadership and clients is essential to deliver exceptional service. The role emphasizes leading crews, coaching staff, tracking costs, and maintaining equipment and inventory to support efficient field operations.

Qualifications

• 5-10+ years of hands-on HVAC install experience.
• Previous leadership/supervisory experience in the trades.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical code, ductwork, and various system types (furnaces, A/C, boilers, mini splits).
• Excellent communication and time management skills.
• Ability to work with computer systems including HouseCallPro.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and manage installation jobs from start to finish with lead time.
• Monitor Service Calls through HouseCallPro.
• Lead and coach HVAC install technicians, apprentices, and service technicians; conduct annual performance reviews.
• Ensure employees have proper tools and that they are properly maintained.
• Assist with hiring, training, and onboarding new install and service staff.
• Track job costs, material usage, and labor efficiency.
• Create and monitor SOPs for technicians to follow on all jobs.

Position Overview:

As the Operations Manager, you’ll oversee our HVAC installation and service departments, managing day-to-day operations, inventory control and ordering, providing leadership to all crews, and ensuring each job is completed on time, within budget, and with top-tier craftsmanship. You’ll work closely with our leadership team and clients to deliver exceptional service!

Key Responsibilities

• Schedule and manage installation jobs from start to finishinHouseCallProwith at least aone weeklead time.
• monitor Service Calls throughHouseCallPro
• Lead and coach HVACinstalltechnicians, apprentices, and service technicians. Complete annual review of technician performance
• Ensure that employees have proper tools for the job and that they are properlymaintained.
• Work with Lead Installers to helpadvisethem on installation jobs &ensuringjobs are goingaccording to plan and expectations
• Perform job site walk-throughs and inspections to ensure quality and safety
• Ensure fleet trucks are properlystocked at all times, all required materials for jobs are available in warehouse orhasbeen ordered to start job, and job timelines and job details are reviewed with lead technician.
• Manage allcallbackswithcustomers and office staff to ensure problem resolution is completed within 1-2 business days.
• Communicate clearly with customers, office staff, and suppliers.
• Completedaily meetings with crews to ensure job locations, expectations, and job tasks
• Troubleshoot installation issues and provide onsite support when needed
• Assistwith hiring, training, and onboarding new installand servicestaff
• Track job costs, material usage, and labor efficiency
• Daily inspection of trucks to ensure proper organization of tools and materials
• Daily walk-through of inventory and match against scheduled installation and service jobs to create orders twice a week
• Create andmonitorStandard Operating Procedures for technicians to follow on all jobsincludingthe use ofHouseCallPro
• Conductmonthlysafety meetings
• Generate reports and measures of departmental operations as well as records on all inventory,toolsand vehicles. Reviews reports with management.
• Monitors preventive maintenance of vehicles to ensure proper operation
• Oversees facility and equipment maintenance, ensuring that assets are protected and controlled

Qualifications

• 5-10+ years of hands-on HVAC install experience
• Previousleadership/supervisory experience in the trades
• Strong knowledge of mechanical code, ductwork, and various system types (furnaces, A/C, boilers, mini splits, etc.)
• Excellent communication and time management skills
• Ability to work with computer systems andHouseCallPro
• Ability to handle fast-paced schedules and prioritize field needs
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Willingness to be hands-on and jump in when needed
• High integrity, accountability, and attention to detail
