Qualifications

• 3+ years of leadership in HVAC or related field service.
• Experience leading teams and delivering measurable results.
• Experience recruiting, onboarding, and developing field teams.
• Strong problem solving and decision making in fast-paced environments.
• Experience managing operational metrics and process improvements.
• Excellent communication and coaching skills.
• Familiarity with ServiceTitan or similar platforms.
• On-site hands-on leadership in Lansing market.

HVAC Operations Manager

Due to a recent promotion within the organization, we're looking for an HVAC Operations Manager to lead and grow our HVAC department in the Lansing market. This is an exciting opportunity for a proven leader who enjoys building high-performing teams, developing people, and creating scalable processes that support long-term growth. While HVAC experience is ideal, we welcome candidates with strong leadership backgrounds in home services and other field-based industries where customer experience, accountability, operational excellence, and team development are critical to success.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of HVAC professionals to achieve performance goals and deliver outstanding customer service.
• Drive department growth through recruiting, hiring, onboarding, and developing top HVAC talent.
• Build a high-performing culture centered around accountability, quality, safety, and customer experience.
• Own daily field operations by setting priorities, removing obstacles, and driving execution.
• Monitor and analyze KPIs to improve revenue, profitability, productivity, and customer satisfaction.
• Partner with leadership, sales, dispatch, and support teams to align operational execution with business objectives.
• Ensure quality workmanship, efficient material usage, and timely completion of jobs.
• Conduct ride-alongs, field audits, and job site visits to support technician development and maintain quality standards.
• Manage customer escalations and ensure prompt resolution of service concerns.
• Drive accountability around safety, compliance, permitting, and company standards.
• Develop and implement scalable systems and processes to support continued growth across the department.

What You Bring

• 3+ years of leadership experience within HVAC, plumbing, electrical, construction, field service, or similar operational environments.
• Home services experience preferred, but not required.
• Proven success leading teams, driving accountability, and delivering measurable business results.
• Experience recruiting, developing, and retaining high-performing field teams.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience managing operational metrics and implementing process improvements.
• Excellent communication, coaching, and team-building skills.
• Familiarity with ServiceTitan or similar field service management platforms is a plus.
• Ability to work on-site as a hands-on leader throughout the Lansing market.
