Sweeping Corporation of America (SCA) is seeking an Operations Manager to guide field teams and optimize branch operations in Wilmington, DE. The role emphasizes safety, accountability, and data-driven decision-making to improve routing and service delivery.

You will collaborate across departments to meet customer demand, manage staffing and scheduling, and contribute to revenue growth while maintaining high standards of professionalism.

Qualifications

• Experience: 1 year operations experience - waste management or driver operations a plus; jet vac experience highly preferred.
• Management Experience: No experience managing teams required - 1 year preferred
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent - bachelor’s degree preferred
• Support: Must be available to respond to staffing or operational needs outside standard work hours.

Responsibilities

• Leadership: Guide your team with clarity, confidence, and a motivating presence.
• Workplace Culture & Safety: Champion a culture that is safe, inclusive, & performance driven.
• Strategic & Operational Planning: Execute branch-level strategies aligned with company goals.
• Plan and schedule work weekly or monthly using routing tools to meet customer demand efficiently.
• Financial Management: Manage the branch’s profit and loss, making data-driven decisions to drive profitability.
• Monitor KPIs including revenue, labor costs, maintenance, and safety.
• Revenue Growth: Partner with sales to identify & pursue growth opportunities.
• Support customer retention & account growth through exceptional service.
• Execution & Accountability: Set clear goals and metrics, ensuring strong follow-through.
• Own outcomes by holding yourself and your team accountable for results.
• Staffing & Scheduling: Manage staffing levels in alignment with business needs.
• Oversee daily and weekly scheduling of work crews & ensure optimal route execution.
• Employee Management: Track hours, manage pay approvals, and oversee payroll submission.
• Coach employees on performance, administer discipline when necessary, and foster strong employee relations.
• Analytical Thinking: Use data and reporting tools to drive continuous improvement and identify opportunities for operational efficiencies and growth.
• Business Acumen: Operate with the mindset of a business owner, solving problems independently, managing resources wisely, and planning for long-term success.
• Relationship Management: Build strong, positive relationships with employees, customers, and cross-functional partners.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with HR, Finance, Sales, Maintenance, & other departments to align operations, support initiatives, & ensure service delivery.
• Brand & Service Advocacy: Promote and represent the SCA brand with pride, helping to communicate the value of our services and maintain a high standard of professionalism.
• Regular & Predictable Attendance: The ability to consistently report to work on time and as scheduled, with minimal unexcused absences.
• Supervisory: This position is responsible for the direct and/or indirect supervision of workers, including assigning work, monitoring performance, providing training and guidance, conducting performance evaluations, approving timecards, and participating in hiring.
