Qualifications

• High School education or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Proven merchandising skills with ability to make timely and effective decisions.
• Ability to deal tactfully and effectively with guests and all associates.
• Good organizational skills with understanding and ability to learn operation systems.
• Good oral and written communication skills and the ability to handle a diverse crew in a fast-paced environment.
• Thorough understanding of safety requirements and company safety policies.
• Must possess ability to complete and apply on-the-job safety training to recognize and react to possible hazards.
• Ability to use equipment such as forklift, harness, power jack, walk-behind lift, WAV, baler, and compactor.

Responsibilities

• Create a Positive Environment and promote Festival Foods culture across the store.
• Adapt to daily needs and make quick, informed decisions for in-stock and helpfulness.
• Provide exceptional guest service and uphold the boomerang principle.
• Serve as manager-on-duty and support overall store operations.
• Coach and train associates on freshness, in-stock, helpfulness and food safety; document policy violations.
• Monitor sales floor and back stock and take corrective action.
• Collaborate with Store Director and managers to maintain standards and guest satisfaction.
• Ensure food safety and sanitation compliance with local and company guidelines.
• Uphold asset protection and manage inventory to minimize shrinkage.
• Support merchandising and maintenance of displays with high quality freshness and visuals.
• Enforce safety standards and complete incident reports; ensure a safe work environment.
• Maintain regular attendance and reliability; perform other duties as assigned.
