Job summary

Floor Coverings International in Huntsville, AL is seeking an Operations Manager to keep the office running, coordinate crews, and ensure every installation delivers a 5-star experience. You will be the glue between sales, installers, and warehouse, blending office duties with essential field checks.

You will own scheduling, customer contact, site visits, and the flow between sales, installation, and warehouse, maintaining organization and timely communication while upholding our standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in office/production/operations management; flooring or home services background preferred.
• Strong communicator with comfort on phone, in person, and on-site coordination.
• Highly organized with attention to detail and multitasking ability.
• Self-starter who can run the day independently.
• Able to manage multiple moving pieces: crews, calendars, sales, and customers.

Responsibilities

• Be the main point of contact from first call to final walkthrough and build relationships for repeat business.
• Turn leads into booked appointments for the sales team and keep all calendars running smoothly.
• Coordinate start dates, timelines, and daily progress with installation teams; troubleshoot in real time.
• Meet weekly with the sales team to review production and keep everyone aligned.
• Order product accurately for each job and ensure on-site delivery.
• Document and obtain written approvals for changes to contracted work.
• Keep office and warehouse organized and presentable.
• Update Production Dashboard daily to reflect accurate job status.
