Job summary

FIRST PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH - STEWPOT is seeking an Operations Manager to lead day-to-day facilities, security, safety, and fleet operations across the organization. You will supervise three employees and coordinate vendors, contractors, and service providers to ensure safe, functional environments and reliable operations.

The role partners with the Director of Operations to identify risks, manage preventive maintenance, and implement systems and accountability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
• Minimum 5 years in operations, facilities, security, safety, or fleet management.
• Previous supervisory or management experience required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily facility operations, building maintenance, grounds, and infrastructure.
• Provide oversight of security operations, cameras, access controls, and alarms; coordinate with law enforcement.
• Develop workplace safety procedures, emergency plans, and risk mitigation; ensure OSHA/building safety compliance.
• Oversee organizational vehicles including preventive maintenance, registrations, insurance, and driver compliance.
• Directly supervise three employees; coaching, scheduling, and cross-training.
• Manage vendor relationships, service agreements, contracts, and operating expenses; support budgeting and reporting to Director of Operations.
