Job summary

Lumbermen’s, headquartered in Grand Rapids, Michigan, is seeking an Operations Manager for the Youngstown, OH location with initial work in Warren, OH. You will lead the warehouse team, work with suppliers, customers and the sales team to deliver superior building materials, and drive Lean improvements.

Ideal candidates will have 5-7 years of management experience, a degree in Business Management or related field, and a proven ability to recruit, train, and develop a high-performing team while

Qualifications

Associates or bachelor’s degree in Business Management or related field, or commensurate experience.
5–7 years of management experience.
Distribution/retail experience preferred; building materials experience beneficial.

Responsibilities

Model and communicate Lumbermen’s mission and vision.
Provide leadership for Youngstown and Warren divisions.
Recruit, hire, train and develop a high-performing team.
Set and monitor operational goals and budgets.
Ensure safety and OSHA/DOT compliance.
Oversee fleet maintenance and coordination with transportation.
