Job summary

Transdev is seeking an Operations Manager in San Francisco to act as the liaison between client teams and Transdev operations. You will oversee shift performance, coach drivers, and drive process improvements across dispatch, safety, and compliance.

The role requires leadership of the Operations Supervisor, plus analytics, Lean/Kaizen participation, and on-call scheduling. Travel up to 20% and a strong customer-focused mindset are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or 2+ years of operations experience leading teams.
• Preferred Education: Engineering, Operations, or related field;2+ years supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the daily activity of the Operations Supervisor to ensure efficient shift operations.
• Drive special projects and programs assigned by the Senior Operations Manager.
• Attend client meetings to represent SOM or other managers as needed.
• Communicate clearly with Transdev and client stakeholders.
• Support client operations leadership in dispatch, meetings, and stakeholder communications.
• Participate in Lean/Kaizen and other Operational Excellence initiatives.
• Interpret metrics to find improvements and drive results.
• Ensure compliance with global process standards and continuous improvement.
• Oversee driver safety evaluations and retraining; manage performance-based pay.
• Coordinate and supervise subordinates; report issues to management.
• Ensure daily operations processes (assignments, shift start/end, pre-briefs/debriefs).
• Respond to service problems to restore service; assist with accident reports.
