Virginia Linen Service, Inc. in Petersburg, VA is hiring an Operations Manager for the 3 PM - 11 PM shift to oversee production and distribution. You will lead about 30 associates and the supervisors who guide them, reporting to the Assistant General Manager and owning the shift results.

Qualifications

• 2+ years managing a production team in a plant, manufacturing, or distribution operation.
• Experience running more than one department or area at the same time.
• Availability for 3 PM - 11 PM, with a weekend rotation based on business needs.
• Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs. and stay on your feet for most of the shift.
• Working knowledge of Excel and Outlook.

Pay: $75,000 - $85,000 per year

Virginia Linen Service runs a commercial laundry plant in Petersburg that cleans and delivers linens, uniforms, and mats for businesses across Virginia. We need an Operations Manager to run second shift: production and distribution, about 30 associates, and the supervisors who lead them.

This is a floor job. You'll spend about 80% of your shift with your people and your equipment, not behind a desk. You report to the Assistant General Manager and own your shift's results.

What You Need

• 2+ years managing a production team in a plant, manufacturing, or distribution operation

• A plus: industrial laundry experience or preventive maintenance program experience
