Job Description

The Operations Manager (OM) manages the restaurant operations during scheduled shifts. Responsible for supporting the General Manager (GM) and Assistant General Manager (AGM) in achieving sales and profit goals through the implementation and enforcement of company policies, procedures, and standards. Assists the AGM with scheduling, inventory management, and disciplinary actions. Participates in employee evaluation, hiring, and training processes.

Key Accountabilities
Job Essentials Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and document crew member performance; support their development.
  • Identify and communicate employee concerns; assist in addressing them.
  • Educate and empower crew members to resolve guest issues and meet service standards.
  • Support financial objectives through staff motivation and marketing strategies.
  • Schedule shifts considering employee needs and business requirements.
  • Manage crew clock-ins, clock-outs, and breaks; enforce punctuality.
  • Support inventory management, including organizing supplies, assisting with deliveries, and calculating food and labor costs.
People Management:
  • Develop and motivate trainers and team leads; evaluate performance.
  • Ensure compliance with productivity and service standards.
  • Support team through change management.
Quality Management:
  • Ensure adherence to QSC, safety, and sanitation standards.
  • Maintain equipment and communicate maintenance needs.
  • Assist in executing marketing programs and new initiatives.
  • Participate in meetings, share feedback, and identify best practices.
  • Meet deadlines through effective time management and delegation.
Financial Management:
  • Support the restaurant's financial performance.
  • Identify performance trends and improvement opportunities.
  • Document cash, receipts, food costs, and expenses accurately.
  • Assist in preparing financial reports.
