Position Title: Operations Manager

Pay Range: $60,000 - $70,000 per year, plus commission & year-end bonus

Job Overview

Crownover Company Inc. is seeking a high-powered, results-driven Operations Manager to lead and optimize all aspects of our residential construction operations. Reporting directly to the Integrator, this executive-level role is responsible for driving excellence in project execution, team leadership, quality control, client satisfaction, and operational efficiency.

The ideal candidate brings 7-10 years of hands-on field experience in residential construction, paired with 3-5 years of proven leadership managing people, processes, and performance in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities

  • Phase 1 & Phase 2 Management
    • Develop, manage, and oversee project schedules, milestones, and timelines.
    • Support PMs with procurement, vendor negotiations, and materials delivery.
    • Provide leadership to PMs, PEs, subcontractors, and internal teams.
    • Develop and monitor project budgets with finance and PM teams.
    • Track project costs, analyze variances, and drive cost-saving measures.
  • Operations Processes
    • Drive Phase 2 contract acquisition to meet annual revenue goals.
    • Create and manage operational processes for contracts, estimating, budgets, change orders, and project documentation.
    • Lead process improvements and operational innovations.
    • Partner with the CFO to manage the annual operating budget.
    • Conduct bi-weekly reviews of time entries, invoices, and expenditures.
    • Oversee performance reviews and professional development of team members.
  • Client Experience Management
    • Maintain transparent communication with clients throughout projects.
    • Deliver regular project updates and address challenges proactively.
    • Implement rigorous quality control processes to exceed client expectations.
    • Conduct client walkthroughs, milestone reviews, and post-project follow-ups.
    • Foster a client-centered culture focused on delivering legendary experiences.
  • Quality Control / Safety / Compliance
    • Implement and maintain quality control inspections and compliance with building codes and industry standards.
    • Ensure OSHA compliance, safety training, and environmental regulations are followed on all project sites.
    • Develop, distribute, and track monthly safety training records.
  • Internal Work Teams
    • Lead and manage Custom Creations and Civil Works internal work teams.
    • Ensure team profitability, safety, efficiency, and morale.
    • Oversee maintenance and readiness of equipment, tools, vehicles, and facilities.
    • Update and manage Buildertrend project and team documentation.
Qualifications

  • 7-10 years of field experience in residential construction.
  • 3-5 years of leadership experience managing teams and operational performance.
  • Proven track record in leading successful construction teams.
  • In-depth knowledge of project flow from concept to completion.
  • Tech-savvy and proficient in Buildertrend, scheduling software, time-tracking tools, and digital workflows.
  • Strong leadership and decision-making abilities with high accountability.
  • Ability to inspire and coach teams while maintaining collaboration and morale.
  • Adaptable, data-driven, and committed to continuous improvement.

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred.

Work Schedule
