Job description

About The Role

The role is the operational backbone of a fast-moving technology organization: building the systems, processes, and coordination rhythms that keep engineering, product, and go-to-market teams executing in sync.

This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives on turning ambiguity into structure — designing workflows, driving cross-functional initiatives, and measuring whether the operational machinery actually works. The team operates remotely from Washington, DC and supports a scaling company with real infrastructure and real deadlines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own and continuously improve core operational processes across onboarding, procurement, vendor management, and internal tooling
  • Drive cross-functional projects end-to-end — from scoping and planning through execution, retro, and documented outcomes
  • Build and maintain operational dashboards (Looker, Tableau, or similar) tracking KPIs like cycle time, headcount ramp, and tool spend
  • Manage the operations tech stack (Okta, Expensify, Notion, Slack workflows) and evaluate new tools as the company scales
  • Run weekly business reviews and operating cadences, surfacing blockers and risks to leadership with clear owners and timelines
  • Partner with finance on budget tracking and forecasting for operational spend
  • Write and maintain SOPs and internal documentation that reduce tribal knowledge and onboarding time
What We Are Looking For
  • 4-7 years of operations, program management, or business operations experience, ideally at a high-growth technology company
  • Proven ability to run multiple concurrent projects with clear deliverables, timelines, and measurable outcomes
  • Strong analytical toolkit: advanced spreadsheets, SQL a plus, and hands-on experience with BI tools
  • Experience administering or deeply using operations tooling (Atlassian suite, Notion, HRIS platforms)
  • Excellent written communication — comfortable writing decision memos, project plans, and executive summaries
  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
  • Bonus: PMP or equivalent certification, experience supporting remote-first teams, or exposure to corporate security/compliance programs (SOC 2, ISO 27001)
