We are seeking a curious, adaptable and motivated ‘glue person’ to support the fast growth of our scale-up by seamlessly filling the gaps and making everyone around them better. Reporting to the VP, Operations, the Operations Manger (we are flexible on the title) will be responsible for executing MASV’s daily operations across a myriad of functions including, but not limited to, vendor management, human resources, revenue operations, product monetization, process improvement, IT administration, and financial planning & analysis.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Translate strategy into actionable steps for growth by implementing organization-wide goals and delivering the projects to execute on those goals
  • Analyze internal processes and then advocate for continuous improvement across the organization
  • Direct and execute the HR function, ensuring effective recruiting, onboarding, professional development and retention but most of all, help our team work joyfully and achieve their career ambitions
  • Manage vendor relationships, tooling and expenses aggressively to ensure that the company achieves spending targets
  • Draft, review, and revise all legal agreements - sales, vendor or organizational - in collaboration with legal partners
  • IT account management and administration (onboarding, offboarding, access reviews)
  • Monitor expenses and suggest cost control actions
  • Work with stakeholders to implement FinOps strategies to bridge the gap between engineering and finance operations.
  • Initiate and manage MASV’s IP strategy, acknowledging that IP strategy execution may happen over a long period of time.
  • Execute MASV’s philosophy of anytime due diligence, advocating for great governance, great documentation and process excellence
  • Maintain a daily, monthly and quarterly pulse on the business, collaborating cross functionally to empower the business with near-real-time forecasting, monitoring and reporting
  • Act as expert un-blocker and dam-buster, empowering teams to get unstuck and become organized for maximum productivity
  • Other duties as necessary to meet the company’s needs - when it’s not clear what department should handle something, it’s you

REQUIREMENTS

  • Located in Canada
  • Proven experience in startup operations or related field such as product/project management (this is NOT an entry-level role but we also don't need 20 years experience in operations)
  • Strong communication skills - written and verbal
  • Skilled in Excel/Sheets
