Qualifications

• 7–10 years of progressive operations leadership experience with 3–5 years managing supervisors or team leads.
• Experience in metal distribution, metal processing, manufacturing, logistics, warehousing, or industrial operations preferred.
• Senior level experience in a 24/7/ multi-shift industrial environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily operations across a 24/7 multi-shift industrial distribution environment.
• Oversee receiving, material handling, storage, processing, packaging, staging, shipping, and fulfillment.
• Develop supervisors, team leads, and hourly employees; coach for accountability.
• Establish daily priorities and ensure clear communication across shifts.
• Drive inventory accuracy and improve material flow throughout the facility.
• Monitor productivity, labor planning, overtime, attendance, order flow, backlog, and shipping performance.
• Identify operational bottlenecks and implement continuous improvement initiatives.

Operations Manager

Experience: Senior Level

Salary: $90,000 - $120,000 per year

Job Details

• Lead daily operations across a 24 hour, multi shift industrial distribution environment
• Oversee receiving, material handling, storage, processing, packaging, staging, shipping, and fulfillment
• Manage and develop supervisors, team leads, and hourly employees
• Establish daily priorities and ensure consistent communication across all shifts
• Maintain a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with company and regulatory requirements
• Monitor productivity, labor planning, overtime, attendance, order flow, backlog, and shipping performance
• Drive inventory accuracy and improve material flow throughout the facility
• Oversee the safe and efficient use of cranes, forklifts, racking, saws, and other industrial equipment
• Identify operational bottlenecks and implement practical continuous improvement initiatives
• Establish and monitor key performance indicators for safety, quality, productivity, cost, and delivery
• Partner with customer service, planning, sales, quality, purchasing, transportation, and maintenance teams
• Coach and develop supervisors while creating consistency, accountability, and clear expectations across shifts
• Maintain a visible presence on the floor and build strong relationships with employees
• Drive root cause problem solving and ensure corrective actions are completed
• Support customer requirements by ensuring orders are completed accurately and on time

Ideal Background: 7 to 10 years of progressive operations leadership experience with at least 3 to 5 years managing supervisors or team leaders. Experience within metal distribution, metal processing, manufacturing, logistics, warehousing, or industrial operations is strongly preferred.
