Job summary

Avenues Recovery Center in Norfolk, VA is hiring an Operations Manager for our new inpatient extended care rehab facility. You will oversee facility maintenance, safety, staff scheduling, and coordination with external contractors to ensure smooth daily operations.

The role requires a high school diploma, at least one year of experience in substance use treatment, a valid driver's license, and strong organizational and communication skills.

Qualifications

High School Diploma/GED required.
Minimum 1 year experience in substance abuse treatment industry (preferred).
Valid driver's license.
Acute observational and communication skills.
Ability to collaborate and multitask.
Strong sense of responsibility and accountability.

Responsibilities

Manage complete maintenance of facility and property (fire drills, vehicle maintenance, tech support, inventory, storage etc.).
Complete periodic maintenance checklists to ensure functionality, safety and compliance.
Oversee and direct custodial and housekeeping staff and all external contractors.
Provide operational support whenever needed (i.e administrative errands, transportation coordination, event planning, security oversight, Accounts Payable etc.).
Collaborate with Executive Director and Administrator as necessary.
