Job summary

Avenues Recovery Center is opening a new inpatient extended care rehab facility in Norfolk, VA, and seeks an Operations Manager to oversee daily operations, maintenance, and external contractors.

You will collaborate with leadership to ensure safety, efficiency, and high-quality service across the site. A HS diploma, 1 year in substance abuse treatment, and a valid driver’s license are required; strong organizational and multitasking abilities are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of experience in the substance abuse treatment industry preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Strong observational and communication skills are essential.
• Ability to collaborate and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• A strong sense of responsibility and accountability is expected.

Responsibilities

• Manage complete maintenance of the facility and property (fire drills, vehicle maintenance, tech support, inventory, storage).
• Complete periodic maintenance checklists to ensure safety, functionality and compliance.
• Oversee custodial and housekeeping staff and all external contractors.
• Provide operational support (administrative errands, transportation coordination, event planning, security oversight, Accounts Payable).
• Collaborate with the Executive Director and Administrator as needed.

What You'll Do

What We're Looking For
