Job summary

Avenues Recovery Center in Norfolk, VA is hiring a maintenance technician for our new inpatient extended care facility. You’ll inspect the building, assist with repairs, handle technical issues, and run daily maintenance checklists to keep equipment and spaces safe.

Qualifications include a High School diploma or GED, basic carpentry knowledge, and the ability to problem-solve and multitask. If you are in recovery, a year of sobriety is preferred.

Qualifications

If in recovery, a minimal one-year period of sustained sobriety is required.
Innovative, strong worker with ability to problem solve and multitask.
General knowledge of carpentry and repair.

Responsibilities

Regularly inspect facility, equipment and property for defects.
Assist with any building renovations/ repairs, both interior and exterior.
Assist with any technical difficulties (video calls, internet service, equipment maintenance etc.)
Perform outside custodial duties (gardening, snow removal etc.)
Complete daily, weekly and monthly checklists to ensure proper building and equipment maintenance

What You’ll Do

Avenues Recovery Center at Indianapolis is a residential facility which offers inpatient drug and alcohol rehabilitation services as well as withdrawal management.
