KODIAK Construction Recruiting & Staffing is seeking an HVAC Operations Manager in Mt. Crawford, VA to lead commercial HVAC service and installation operations.

You will coordinate crews, schedules, and resources, while driving safety, quality, and profitability across projects. The role requires strong leadership, extensive HVAC experience, and the ability to balance customer service with operational efficiency.

Qualifications

• At least 7 years HVAC experience with leadership or supervisory responsibility.
• Strong commercial HVAC service and/or installation knowledge.
• Proven ability to lead teams and manage operational resources.
• Proficiency with service-management software and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily commercial HVAC service and/or installation operations.
• Coach and develop supervisors and technicians through clear expectations, accountability, training, and support.
• Promote safety practices, OSHA compliance, toolbox talks, and near-miss reporting.
• Coordinate manpower, schedules, equipment, and other resources with internal teams.
• Manage labor efficiency, manpower planning, scheduling, and overtime.
• Oversee maintenance agreements, time-and-material work, and projects.
• Monitor estimating, costing, documentation, billing preparation, progress billing, cash flow, collections support, and performance reporting.
• Visit job sites to review safety, quality, progress, and project scope.
• Address customer concerns professionally and identify practical solutions.
• Drive process improvements that increase operational efficiency, quality, and profitability.

HVAC Operations Manager - Commercial HVAC | Mt. Crawford, VA

We are hiring an HVAC Operations Manager in Mt. Crawford, VA for our client, a commercial HVAC/mechanical contractor supporting service and installation operations. This is a leadership opportunity for an experienced HVAC professional who can build strong teams, improve day-to-day operations, manage resources, and help deliver safe, efficient, high-quality work.

The HVAC Operations Manager will provide leadership across HVAC operations while working closely with supervisors, technicians, dispatch, sales, and support teams. The right candidate will bring strong commercial HVAC knowledge, practical leadership experience, and the ability to balance people, customer service, productivity, and financial performance.

What You'll Do

What You Bring

• At least 7 years of HVAC experience, including leadership or supervisory responsibility.
• Strong commercial HVAC service and/or installation knowledge.
• Proven ability to lead teams and manage operational resources.
• Strong communication, organization, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Proficiency with service-management software and Microsoft Office.
• EPA certification and/or an HVAC trade license preferred.
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification preferred.
• Ability to pass a background check, drug screening, and motor vehicle record check.
• Ability to provide occasional after-hours support and travel to job sites as needed.

Location & Schedule

This position is based in Mt. Crawford, VA, with travel to job sites as necessary. The role is full-time with standard operational hours and occasional after-hours support based on business needs.
