Maxim Healthcare Group is currently seeking an Operations Manager. The Operations Manager is responsible for successfully managing and leading the complete operations of a Maxim branch office. The Operations Manager has an integral role in the ongoing education of clients, physicians, case managers, and community members regarding the functions and benefits of health care services. Additionally, the Operations Manager leads the quality improvement process, program development, and contracting with new customers while maintaining compliance with all reimbursement guidelines, as well as Maxim policy and procedures.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Consistently models and manages the Company’s Mission, Vision, and Values and the philosophy of customer service and compliance.
- Adheres to and promotes Company Policies and Procedures.
- May serve as a member of the Governing Body and Professional Advisory Board.
- Evaluates services and programs annually, reviews Policy and Procedure manual, and submits Annual Program Evaluation reports to the Governing Body and other entities as required.
- Responsible for fiscal planning, budgeting, and management with office teams to ensure adequate staffing, services, and resources.
- Proactively sells Maxim’s services to current and potential clients, customers, and healthcare facilities.
- Builds relationships and communicates effectively with patients, referral sources, case managers, physicians, and community members.
- Creates and executes strategic business development plans.
- Develops and leads the overall Recruitment strategy.
- Maintains and enhances technology platforms.
- Oversees public information materials, advertisements, and brochures used to represent the agency.
- Updates relevant departments regularly.
- Establishes and maintains an ongoing Quality Improvement Program.
- Implements ongoing process improvements.
- Completes all required reports and corrective action plans.
- Attains clinical and operational metrics.
- Oversees hiring, onboarding, and maintenance of qualified personnel requirements.
- Ensures compliant management of patient care from referral through discharge.
- Handles patient and employee complaints, responds to grievances, and manages discharge planning as needed.
- Oversees on-call activities to ensure availability of qualified personnel during operating hours.
- Designates a qualified person to act in absence, consulting with AVPCO if not a Registered Nurse.
- Provides development support and growth opportunities for staff.
- Participates with state regulatory agencies and professional associations.
- Ensures ongoing compliance with regulations, policies, standards, and reimbursement guidelines.
- Oversees revenue cycle management.
- Ensures services meet contractual obligations.
- May serve as office administrator, responsible for daily operations, qualified personnel, and appointing an alternate administrator.
- Performs additional duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Provider Relations, or related field; BSN preferred. For RNs, licensure in all assigned states is required.
- Preferred two years of experience in health service administration or related fields.
- Preferred one year of supervisory or administrative experience in home health care or related health programs.
- Knowledge of home care requirements and third-party reimbursement.
- Strong communication skills; proficiency in English may be required.
- Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- State-specific requirements such as experience, licensure, or certifications as applicable (Arizona, Delaware, Oklahoma, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, Wisconsin).
Wage/Salary Information:
Annual Base Salary of $70k plus an annual bonus potential of $25k.
