We’re seeking a Manager, Operations & Fulfillment to own and optimize our systems that drive our success. This role is ideal for a proactive, data-driven operator who excels in cross-functional environments, is eager to analyze problems, enhance performance, and ensure excellence across inventory, fulfillment, and vendor management.
About the Role:
Reporting to the Corporate Controller, you will oversee inventory, fulfillment, purchasing, and operational reporting functions. You’ll connect backend operations with our front-end strategies, ensuring supply chain reliability, cost efficiency, and performance visibility across departments.
You will collaborate closely with Finance, Marketing, Tech, and Customer Experience teams to align supply chain activities with demand forecasts, campaign schedules, and customer expectations—driving clarity, accountability, and measurable outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own forecasting, purchasing, and inventory strategies to ensure products are in stock, accurately tracked, and purchased at optimal costs.
- Oversee fulfillment operations and 3PL performance, ensuring timely delivery, controlling shipping costs, and adhering to SLAs.
- Monitor and report on key operational metrics such as inventory health, refund rates, delivery timelines, vendor efficiency, and fulfillment costs.
- Partner with Finance to analyze fulfillment cost drivers, monitor procurement budgets, and support strategic cost controls.
- Lead cross-functional efforts to ensure backend readiness for marketing, CX, and tech initiatives.
- Act as an escalation point for operational risks or workflow issues, driving resolution and process improvements.
- Support budget management and operational forecasting with reliable data and reporting.
- Identify and resolve process gaps or bottlenecks affecting customer experience, profitability, or operational flow.
- Contribute to system upgrades, migrations, and operational initiatives focused on scalability and accountability.
What Success Looks Like:
- Accurate forecasting, efficient stocking, and optimal purchasing of inventory.
- Fulfillment partners consistently meet SLAs with reduced costs and minimal refunds/issues.
- Operational reports provide clear, actionable insights to leadership.
- Backend readiness supports smooth launches, promotions, and campaigns.
- Proactive identification and resolution of operational gaps, enhancing customer experience.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years in operations, supply chain, fulfillment, or purchasing, preferably in a DTC, eCommerce, or fast-paced CPG environment.
- Proven experience managing 3PLs, optimizing fulfillment, and enhancing inventory performance.
- Operational support experience for marketing and CX functions in dynamic environments.
- Strong analytical skills, including dashboard creation, cost modeling, and KPI improvement.
- Collaborative skills with Finance, including cost tracking and vendor forecasting.
- Project management experience, managing vendor timelines and system rollouts.
- Bonus: experience with fulfillment cost modeling, chargeback/refund analysis, or procurement financial planning.
- Experience managing small teams or cross-functional contributors preferred.
- Highly accountable, process-oriented, and driven to align backend performance with customer and business goals.
