Job summary

JP Mascaro & Sons in Reading, PA, seeks an Operations Manager for the Berks County division to lead day-to-day operations and deliver top-notch customer service.

You will plan, schedule, train staff, ensure safety compliance, manage budgets, and partner with the General Manager to meet daily, weekly, monthly and yearly goals while maintaining strong relationships with municipalities, customers, and employees.

Qualifications

• Three to five years of supervisory/leadership experience.
• CDL Driver’s License and a valid driver’s license.
• P&L knowledge.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and strong interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the division delivers top-notch customer service.
• Act as liaison to municipalities, customers, and clients.
• Coordinate with General Manager for day-to-day operations and planning.
• Complete daily, weekly, and monthly reports accurately and timely.
• Set up and approve daily schedules; allocate manpower/equipment.
• Train drivers, laborers, and supervisors in policies and goals.
• Ensure drivers, dispatchers, and supervisors represent the company well.
• Develop contingency plans for service problems; optimize routes for cost efficiency.
• Maintain compliance with DER, OSHA, and DOT rules; assist safety programs.
• Assist in budget development; support company image with stakeholders.
