Job summary

TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® franchise in Manchester, NH is seeking an Operations/Logistics Manager to lead moving crews and manage daily operations. This role focuses on coordinating staff, ensuring safety, and meeting performance targets while delivering exceptional customer service.

The position requires leadership, scheduling, and strong communication skills, with a driver’s license and ability to pass background checks and drug screens. Weekend availability is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; some college preferred.
• Management or related experience required.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean record.
• Willing to undergo background check and random drug screens.
• Willing to work Saturdays and one Sunday per month.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to lead and develop staff.
• Ability to assess performance and implement improvements.
• Basic truck/vehicle knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and dispatch mover/driver teams daily.
• Coordinate employee scheduling and truck assignments.
• Perform dispatch duties, safety audits, and paperwork inspections.
• Lead by example to motivate and develop the team.
• Hire and onboard new staff; train them.
• Direct fleet maintenance and inventory; ensure trucks are clean and safe.
• Uphold safety procedures and DOT/FMCSA compliance.
• Be an on-call emergency contact outside normal hours.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

What We Offer

• Base Salary: $43,000 +0.5% commission structure tied to franchise revenue

What You'll Do

• Supervise and dispatch mover/driver teams daily; coordinate employee scheduling and truck assignments
• Complete various dispatch duties, including: performance audits during moves to ensure safety and customer satisfaction, vehicle inspections, and paperwork audits
• Lead by example in performance, attitude, attendance and work ethic; responsible for team development and motivation
• Determine staffing requirements, interview, hire, and oversee new employee onboarding and training
• Coordinate and direct fleet maintenance and equipment inventory; ensure trucks and equipment are maintained in a clean, safe, and professional manner
• Promote safety and uphold safety procedures and policies; ensure compliance with all DOT regulations and FMCSA guidelines
• Responsible for employee development, accountability and corrective action programs
• Responsible for being an “on-call” emergency contact outside of normal business hours
• All other duties as assigned

Who We're Looking For

• High school diploma or GED required, some college preferred
• Management, business, or other relevant experience is required
• Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
• Must be willing to submit to a pre-employment background check and random drug screens
• Must be willing to work Saturday’s and one Sunday a month
• Effective communication skills (verbal and written)
• Demonstrated ability to lead by example to motivate, develop and direct people
• Ability to assess the performance of self, employees and franchise to make improvements or take corrective action
• Basic truck/vehicle knowledge
• Experience in the fields of general labor, management, non-CDL transportation, landscaping, construction, project management, logistics, production, manufacturing, assembly, factory or warehouse helpful
