Job summary

The Budd Group in Greensboro, NC is seeking an ambitious Operations Manager to lead our commercial construction cleaning and general trades for a major three-year expansion at PTI Airport. This role places you at the center of a high-stakes program, coordinating field teams and stakeholders to drive on-time, on-budget results.

You will manage subcontractors, oversee multi-trade scope, maintain FAA/airport safety standards, and guide project finances and documentation.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in commercial construction, project management, or specialty trades management.
• Strong subcontractor oversight & financial administration experience.
• Ability to pass federal/airport background checks & security badging.
• OSHA 30 preferred (or willingness to obtain).

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for general contractors, client executives, and airport superintendents.
• Oversee multi-trade scope delivery (fencing, security equipment, trailers, and deep cleaning) across varying project phases.
• Manage project finances, allowances, subcontractor invoices, and documentation with precision.
• Act as a hands-on Facilities Project Manager, directing field crews and maintaining strict FAA/airport safety and security standards.
• Maintain complete schedule flexibility to support 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift milestones as project demands evolve.

Location / Work Type: Greensboro, NC | On-Site / Field-Based (PTI Airport & Local Sites | Greensboro Office: 218 Industrial Ave., Greensboro, NC 27406) | Local Travel Only (No Overnight Travel)

Schedule: Full-Time (40 hrs/week) | Flexible Shift Availability Required (1st, 2nd, and 3rd shift adaptability based on construction project phases)

What You Bring To The Team

Experience: Proven track record in commercial construction, large-scale general trades, or specialized facility project management. (Airport construction experience is a huge plus!)

Leadership & Communication: Exceptional vendor management, subcontractor coordination, and client communication skills.

Financial & Administrative Savvy: Ability to manage budget allowances, paper trails, and job cost reporting effectively.

Safety & Security Mindset: OSHA 30 preferred (or willingness to obtain); must pass strict federal background screening to secure airport badging.

Adaptability: A flexible mindset ready to support dynamic shift schedules and multi-site responsibilities in Greensboro.
