Job summary

RemX is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead daily warehouse operations in Detroit, driving performance, safety, quality, and customer satisfaction in a fast-paced logistics environment. You will supervise supervisors and hourly staff, optimize staffing, and deliver data-driven improvements across inventory, sequencing, and material flow.

This position is responsible for overseeing operational execution, safety, quality, productivity, and customer satisfaction while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and oversee daily warehouse operations, including inventory management, sequencing, pick-and-pack activities, and material flow support.
• Supervise, coach, mentor, and develop supervisors and hourly team members to ensure strong employee engagement and performance.
• Ensure adequate staffing levels and effective workforce planning to meet operational demands.
• Monitor productivity, quality, inventory accuracy, and safety metrics to achieve customer and company performance goals.
• Maintain strong customer relationships through proactive communication, issue resolution, and exceptional service support.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives, problem-solving efforts, and process enhancements to improve efficiency and reduce operational costs.
• Analyze operational data and key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
• Ensure compliance with all safety standards, company policies, customer requirements, and operational procedures.
• Prepare, review, and communicate operational performance reports to leadership and stakeholders.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to support operational excellence and achieve business objectives.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations Management, or a related field preferred. Equivalent experience may be considered.
• 2 to 5 years of leadership experience in a warehouse, distribution, logistics, manufacturing, or third-party logistics (3PL) environment.
• Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and team development skills.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory management systems, and general computer applications.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.

• Ability to effectively lead teams, motivate employees, and drive operational results.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience managing high-volume warehouse or distribution center operations.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, or process optimization methodologies.
• Experience with inventory control, sequencing operations, and material flow processes.
• Strong customer-facing experience within logistics, supply chain, or manufacturing environments.
