Job description

JOB DESCRIPTION

Clean Harbors is looking for an Operations Manager to join their safety-conscious team! This team member will plan, lead, organize, and coordinate all duties associated with daily branch operations, including but not limited to improving operational efficiencies through effective utilization of equipment and scheduling of personnel. They will interact with the Sales Team, support staff, and Customer Contractor Manager to ensure customer expectations are met and/or exceeded.

Salary Range: 90K - 100K

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and manage group activities and interactions with other divisions
  • Schedule personnel and assign projects
  • Conduct and supervise staff meetings
  • Approve all accounts payable/receivable for payment
  • Review monthly PNL statements and address discrepancies
  • Perform revenue forecasting
  • Ensure QA/QC of specialist work
  • Oversee customer service responsibilities in the office
  • Enforce or modify work procedures to ensure safety and efficiency
  • Supervise employees, including interviewing, hiring, training, and performance appraisal
  • Participate in developing and reviewing project proposals and plans
  • Assist in bidding for industrial services projects
  • Plan and schedule projects, review progress, and modify plans as needed
  • Prepare reports for management and clients
  • Coordinate with government agencies and ensure compliance
  • Ensure cost-effective services in accordance with contracts
  • Resolve billing issues satisfactorily
  • Act as the primary liaison between customer and operations
  • Build and maintain quality relationships to retain clients
  • Support customers during contract implementation and throughout the relationship
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s in chemistry, biology, or environmental science preferred
  • 5+ years of industrial cleaning experience, with at least 2 in management
  • Experience with standard/specialized industrial cleaning equipment
  • Ability to schedule equipment and personnel effectively
  • Proven ability to resolve customer and employee complaints
