Job description

  • Oversee and manage day-to-day production, safety, and facilities operations at the MAST facility
  • Work closely with leadership, quality, supply chain, and engineering to align with MAST directives and initiatives
  • Drive positive customer experience and continuous improvement
  • Direct operations in alignment with corporate strategic and business plans and goals
  • Manage, develop, and lead production leads or supervisors
  • Apply lean continuous improvement across areas to improve cost, quality, and efficiency
  • Manage and supervise production training and documentation
  • Provide a safe work environment through 6S, risk reduction, and data-driven decision making
  • Support and execute level-loading production schedules for capacity analysis and staffing
  • Review production timecards
  • Schedule customer orders daily to meet on-time delivery and quality requirements
  • Support capital projects within the area of responsibility
  • Review routers for accurate and appropriate manufacturing process steps
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulatory agencies, including OSHA and AQMD
  • Ensure compliance with licenses and permits for extrusion
  • Ensure equipment is properly maintained and operated safely
  • Direct production and inventory control functions to meet customer needs efficiently
  • Work with planning and sales teams on customer requests and delivery commitments
  • Work with the warehouse to maintain facilities and records
  • Maintain and manage site safety objectives
  • Develop and support a cross-functional culture of continuous improvement
  • Schedule workload to meet priorities and performance targets
  • Lead and direct employee work according to business needs
  • Manage production staff selection, performance, development, and training processes
  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned
  • Contribute to advanced RF and EMI absorbing materials for mission-critical defense and aerospace applications
Requirements
  • Post-secondary degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or Operations Management, or equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience
  • 10-15 years of relevant experience
  • Strong leadership and management skills
  • Ability to execute functional business plans and contribute to functional strategy development
  • Ability to resolve highly complex or unusual business problems using advanced analytical thought and judgment
  • Ability to absorb and apply new technical information and evaluate implications
  • High level of ethical behavior in exercising judgment and discretion
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
  • Ability to negotiate and influence with sensitivity to the audience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and database management tools
