Job summary

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma required; degree in a business, technical, engineering or relevant field preferred.
  • Five+ years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing setting.
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing culture and tools.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of manufacturing.
  • Experience with employee payroll transactions/approvals.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and documentation skills.
  • Problem analysis and resolution.
  • Proven ability to lead people and drive results in a team environment.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Self-starter, self-motivated, hands‑on leader.
  • Strong ability to work independently and under pressure with minimal supervision.

  • Must be familiar with ERP Systems.

  • This position requires use of information which is subject to ITAR, EAR, and NRC compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees all assigned area(s) by providing leadership and training to production personnel while coordinating work.
  • Plans, schedules and coordinates shift activities to deliver manufactured products in a timely fashion and records process data.
  • Suggests and implements action plans to control and improve the manufacturing process.
  • Troubleshoots issues, calibrates equipment and monitors maintenance.
  • Establishes and maintains communication with Engineering, Quality Control, and supporting departments.
  • Ensures ongoing continuous improvement in all areas of responsibility.
  • Attends DGA meetings as required.
  • Creates and drives 6-S activities.
  • Collaborates with management and HR on employee engagement and interactions.
  • Effectively manages labor and cost associated with labor.
  • Participates in cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement.
  • Ensures workplace safety by performing risk assessments and hazard spotting tours.
  • Communicates with employees on all levels within the organization.

Job description
