Job summary

Akron Children's is seeking an Operations Manager to oversee a team and manage the day-to-day operations and financial performance of a subspecialty practice, with oversight of one to two additional regional locations.

You will standardize processes, monitor KPIs, recruit and develop staff, identify cost savings, and build strong relationships with providers and administrators to enhance patient flow and program efficiency.

Qualifications

• Education: Associate's degree in Healthcare Administration or 4+ years healthcare leadership.
• Certification in Healthcare Management required within two years.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Minimum of three years in healthcare leadership, overseeing multiple facilities.

The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing a team of non-exempt and exempt employees, while managing the day-to-day operations and financial performance of one subspecialty practice, with additional oversight of one to two other locations within the region.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily operations to ensure efficient patient flow and deployment of shared clinical space, in order to maximize patient throughput and minimize wait times.
• Develop and implement standardized operational processes and workflows to optimize efficiency and productivity.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to assess operational performance and identify areas for improvement.
• Recruit, train and retain staff to ensure a high-performing and engaged workforce.
• Responsible for the ongoing development of employee engagement initiatives
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and operational efficiencies to maximize resource utilization and minimize expenses.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with internal stakeholders, including healthcare providers, administrators, and support staff.
• Serve as a representative of the organization in the regions to enhance visibility and reputation.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Years of relevant experience: Minimum of three years in healthcare leadership, (preferably overseeing multiple facilities, sites, or programs), required.
