Job summary

POOLCORP is offering a Management in Training - Operations (MIT) program at several distribution sites, providing six months of guided hands-on learning in swimming pool, irrigation and landscape distribution. Participants may relocate with company assistance after training and pursue operations supervisor or manager roles nationwide.

The program emphasizes leadership, classes in finance, people management and systems, with on-site training at multiple locations and a path to long-term careers

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Associate degree with a minimum 2.5 GPA in Industrial Distribution, Supply Chain Management, Management, Operations or related field.
• Experience in leadership or problem-solving roles; internships or clubs accepted.
• Willingness to relocate during/after the program; ability to travel about 25% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Receive hands-on training across Operations, Management, and Purchasing in the distribution center.
• Observe experienced staff and learn methods, procedures and performance standards.
• Shadow contractors, service and retail customers to learn the business.
• Participate in EDGEucation Center classroom sessions on operations, leadership and systems.
• Deliver a final presentation to senior management at program end; perform related projects.
