Job Title: Operations & Maintenance Manager
Work Location: Atlanta, GA
Salary: Based on experience and will be discussed with the manager during the interview.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Assist the OV Construction Manager in administering technical tracking and documentation throughout the D&C period and project closeout.
- Track and verify compliance with reviews and responses to Construction Documentation (Field Changes, Design Changes, etc.).
- Oversee and manage transportation project operations and maintenance activities, ensuring compliance with GDOT standards and procedures.
- Develop and implement strategic plans for efficient, cost-effective operations and maintenance practices.
- Lead and mentor a team of professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Provide guidance to ensure team effectiveness in achieving project goals.
- Implement asset management strategies, monitor asset condition and performance, and recommend maintenance or replacement as needed.
- Manage budget planning and financial aspects of operations and maintenance activities.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, including GDOT officials, contractors, and regulatory agencies, for smooth operations.
- Develop systems to monitor and evaluate performance, ensuring adherence to standards and regulations.
- Identify areas for process improvement and implement best practices.
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Management, or related field.
- Advanced degrees or certifications are beneficial.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in operations and maintenance management, with leadership experience in transportation projects.
- Experience with GDOT projects and procedures preferred.
- Strong technical knowledge of asset management and maintenance practices.
- Proven leadership and management skills.
