Job summary

Ecolab Inc. is seeking an Operations and Maintenance Lead Engineer to oversee ultrapure water, wastewater, and reclamation systems at client sites.

You will drive safe, reliable performance, lead maintenance programs, and coordinate with cross-functional teams to minimize downtime and maximize efficiency. You will train engineers, analyze system data, generate proposals, and present KPI insights to customers, while supporting upgrades and cost-saving initiatives across the plant.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, or related field) with 3–5 years of experience in operations and maintenance OR >10 years in semiconductor-related water treatment system operations, maintenance, expansions, and improvements.
• Equipment troubleshooting and diagnostics experience.
• Preventive and predictive maintenance knowledge.
• Data analysis and performance monitoring skills.
• Ability to create and maintain technical documentation and reports.
• Strong communication, teamwork, time management, and multitasking skills.
• Knowledge of maintenance systems (CMMS), tools, and techniques.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex, industry-related documents.
• Understanding of applicable safety standards and regulations.
• Proficiency with MS Office and Navisworks.

Responsibilities

• Monitor daily operations of Ultrapure Water, Wastewater, and Reclamation systems to ensure reliable performance.
• Train new operations and maintenance engineers on tasks.
• Create and submit customer proposals and generate vendor RFPs and quotes.
• Present monthly KPIs to customers.
• Analyze system performance data and recommend improvements.
• Coordinate with engineering and operations teams to support uninterrupted production and service.
• Plan and execute preventive and predictive maintenance activities.
• Perform inspections, diagnostics, and oversee equipment repairs.
• Maintain accurate maintenance logs, reports, and technical documentation.
• Identify equipment faults, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
• Support equipment upgrades, installations, and commissioning activities.
• Recommend process optimizations, cost-reduction initiatives, and energy-saving projects.
