Job summary

Ecolab seeks an Operations Manager to oversee the safe, reliable ultrapure water system at a customer site, coordinating daily operations and maintenance while supervising technical teams. This field-based role reports to the Site Leader and focuses on continuous improvement, asset reliability, and regulatory compliance.

Minimum qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in engineering and 5–10 years in operations/maintenance with 2–4 years in leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Chemical Engineering.
• 5–10 years in operations and maintenance in industrial or utility environments.
• 2–4 years in supervisory or leadership roles.
• Strong knowledge of plant equipment, utilities, and maintenance systems.
• Experience with CMMS/EAM systems and maintenance planning techniques.
• Leadership, coordination, problem-solving, communication, and reporting skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and operational reporting tools.
• No immigration sponsorship available for this role.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, coordinating, and monitoring daily system operations to meet targets.
• Support readiness for startups, shutdowns, and emergencies.
• Coordinate with customer, engineering, and support teams to ensure uninterrupted operations.
• Develop and execute preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs.
• Monitor equipment condition and maintenance performance for reliability.
• Troubleshoot and resolve equipment and operational issues promptly.
• Enforce safety and regulatory policies and procedures.
• Supervise engineers, technicians, operators, and contractors; provide mentorship.
• Support asset integrity, reliability initiatives, and root cause analysis.
• Assist with planning, reporting, audits, inspections, and continuous improvement.
