Job summary

DSV – Global Transport and Logistics in Frederick, MD is seeking a General Manager of Operations to oversee strategic direction, compliance, and financial results for a designated site.

You will champion LEAN practices, Six Sigma initiatives, ISO activities, and continuous improvement while developing marketing plans and growing new business.

The role requires leadership of Operations Managers, budgeting, and effective client relationship management to meet client and company goals.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Budgeting and P&L management experience required.
• At least 3 years of experience in an operations management related position.

Responsibilities

• Oversee manpower, recruiting, retention, and development for the operation.
• Ensure procedures exist at all sites for client service, productivity, and facilities maintenance.
• Set goals for continuous improvement at the site.
• Oversee safety and security of the operation.
• Develop teams to achieve client and company objectives.
• Communicate the mission and values to motivate staff.
• Lead budgeting and cost controls to meet profit targets.
• Manage client relationships and KPI reviews.
