Job summary

The Wilmington Group is seeking an Operations Coordinator in Haw River, NC to support daily movement of inbound and outbound loads. You will coordinate scale operations, shipment documents, and cross‑functional communication among plant operations, customer service, carriers, and internal teams.

The role emphasizes accuracy, organization, and proactive communication to ensure smooth yard operations and on‑time deliveries.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in plant operations, logistics, transportation, shipping/receiving or scale operations preferred.
• Strong organization and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple loads, documents and priorities.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Comfortable working with carriers, drivers, customers and internal teams.
• Proficient with computers and data entry.
• Ability to learn cieTrade, Procurify and other company systems.
• Identify discrepancies and communicate concerns promptly.
• Experience with recordkeeping, compliance documentation or auditing.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate scale operations and yard activities for inbound/outbound loads.
• Verify bills of lading and manage trailer seals; keep yard data updated.
• Enter weights/grades; post loads to status; capture container photos.
• Distribute shipment documentation; assist with invoices and PO tracking.
• Communicate plans daily with Operations Manager and teams; coordinate changes.
