Job summary

POOLCORP is hiring for a Management in Training - Operations (MIT) program. This entry-level role is based in a distribution warehouse and leads to leadership opportunities nationwide after completion.

You will receive six months of guided training in swimming pool supply, irrigation and landscape distribution, with on-site training and potential relocation assistance. Graduates may apply for Operations Supervisor or Operations Manager roles.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Associate degree in Industrial Distribution, Supply Chain Management, Management, Operations or related discipline with a minimum 2.5 GPA.
• Work experience in a leadership and/or problem solving role; internships or volunteer leadership considered in lieu of experience.
• Willingness to relocate during/after the program (company expense).
• Ability to travel ~25% of the time.
• Ability to maneuver heavy machinery and lift up to 75 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Receive hands-on training across Operations, Management, and Purchasing within the distribution center.
• Observe experienced staff to learn procedures and performance standards.
• Shadow contractors, service/maintenance, and retail customers to understand the pool, irrigation, and landscaping business.
• Participate in classroom training sessions at the EDGEucation Center in Plano, TX.
• Present a comprehensive project to senior management upon program completion.
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
