Southeastern Freight Lines is seeking a Management Trainee to join its Operations Management Trainee Program. This entry‑level position includes a 16‑week intensive program designed to prepare you for an initial leadership or supervisory role in operations.

You will learn the transportation industry, develop leadership communication, complete the training, interface with centers, observe an Account Manager on sales calls, and relocate after completion to a new facility for your first leadership

Qualifications

• Hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Transportation or Logistics, or have at least two years of related work experience.
• Maintain an acceptable driving history that aligns with company standards.
• Be flexible and ready to relocate as needed.
• Possess strong verbal and written communication skills, as well as effective listening abilities.
• Maintain a professional demeanor and appearance at all times.
• Have basic computer skills and a very strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Learn the basic principles of the transportation industry and efficient cross-dock operations.
• Develop effective leadership communication and relationship-building skills.
• Complete the leadership training program, including guided and independent study.
• Interface with Support Center and Service Center associates to complete various aspects of the training program daily.
• Accompany and observe an Account Manager during customer sales calls.
• Accompany drivers on local delivery routes to understand the freight delivery process on occasion.
• Upon completion of the program, relocate to another facility for your first leadership role in Operations.
