Job summary

Southeastern Freight Lines is seeking a Management Trainee to join its Operations Management Trainee Program. This entry-level role includes a 16-week intensive training designed to prepare you for a leadership or supervisory position in operations.

You will learn essential transportation principles, observe operations, accompany an account manager on sales calls, and gain exposure to cross-dock activities. Relocation to another facility after program completion is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Transportation or Logistics or at least two years of related work experience.
• Acceptable driving history.
• Willingness to relocate as needed.
• Strong verbal and written communication, listening skills, and professional demeanor.
• Basic computer skills and a strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Learn the basic principles of the transportation industry, efficient cross-dock operations, effective leadership communication, and relationship-building skills.
• Accompany and observe an Account Manager during customer sales calls.
• Accompany drivers on local delivery routes to understand the freight delivery process.
• Relocation to another facility after program completion is required.
