Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an experienced Operations leader in utility vegetation management to oversee field crews, ensuring safety, production and quality while coaching staff and coordinating with customers across Lewis operating locations.

You will develop talent, manage contracts, drive performance, and travel as needed to meet business goals. The role emphasizes safety leadership, relationship building with customers and partners, and strong operational execution in a dynamic field environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in utility vegetation management or related field-operations.
• Proven experience leading field employees or multiple crews.

• Build relationships with experienced utility vegetation management leaders for future Operations leadership opportunities
• Lead multiple crews with responsibility for safety, production, quality, employee development, customer coordination and day-to-day operational execution
• Provide General Foreperson oversight, customer and contract accountability, business management, talent planning and territory support

Requirements

• Utility vegetation management, arboriculture, utility services or related field-operations experience
• Demonstrated experience leading field employees and/or multiple crews
• Strong safety leadership and commitment to safe work practices
• Experience coaching, developing and retaining employees
• Ability to build strong relationships with customers, employees and operational partners
• Understanding of production, workforce planning, equipment utilization and operational performance
• Strong communication, judgment and problem-solving skills
• Ability to adapt to changing operational and customer needs
• Willingness to travel and/or consider opportunities across Lewis operating locations, depending on the position
• Ability to sit, stand, walk, reach, and perform repetitive keystrokes regularly
• Ability to occasionally stoop, kneel, crouch, climb stairs, and lift/move up to 25 lbs.
• Ability to walk on uneven terrain and work in indoor and outdoor environments
• Ability to tolerate extreme temperatures and moderate to loud noise levels
• PPE required per OSHA and ANSI standards
