Job summary

Jobtailor in Springfield, MA is seeking an experienced utility vegetation management leader to supervise field crews as a General Foreperson, overseeing safety, production, quality and daily operations. You will provide supervision and accountability across contracts, manage talent planning, partner with utility customers, and drive safe, productive results across multiple locations with travel as needed.

Responsibilities

Requirements

• Utility vegetation management, arboriculture, utility services or related field-operations experience
• Demonstrated experience leading field employees and/or multiple crews
• Strong safety leadership and commitment to safe work practices
• Experience coaching, developing and retaining employees
• Ability to build strong relationships with customers, employees and operational partners
• Understanding of production, workforce planning, equipment utilization and operational performance
• Strong communication, judgment and problem-solving skills
• Ability to adapt to changing operational and customer needs
• Willingness to travel and/or consider opportunities across Lewis operating locations, depending on the position
• Ability to sit, stand, walk, reach, and perform repetitive keystrokes regularly
• Ability to occasionally stoop, kneel, crouch, climb stairs, and lift/move up to 25 lbs.
• Ability to walk on uneven terrain and work in indoor and outdoor environments
• Ability to tolerate extreme temperatures and moderate to loud noise levels
• PPE required per OSHA and ANSI standards
